Our local area takes its name from the ancient Forest of Wyre, once a Royal hunting Forest, now one of the largest areas of natural woodland remaining in England. Within very easy reach are some of the most popular attractions in the Midlands, from Steam Railways to Safari Parks, Riverside Georgian Towns to the birthplace of the Industrial Revolution. Slightly farther afield, Ludlow is Britain's famous Slow Food capital, gateway to the Welsh Marches and a haven for those who enjoy unspoilt countryside. Lastly, but not least, right on our doorstep is the Worcestershire Way, one of the most beautiful long distance paths in England.
