History of Little Lakes

The addition of a golf course, shop, café and clubhouse over the years added to the attraction of the Park. A small bric-a-brac shop opened, manned by Peter's sister Avis. From this tiny outlet locally grown plants were also sold, many being planted within early Park Members’ gardens, whilst others were taken home as a reminder of happy holidays spent at the Park.

The growing community found many ways to entertain themselves over the years. On the field where the Holiday Village is now well established, a yearly Rodeo and Stock Car race once took place. For many years, the Park entered a float in Bewdley Carnival - after lots of hard work and enthusiasm our float would proudly purr through the streets of Bewdley packed with suitably dressed park members enjoying every moment.

We are confident that the combination of the Park’s rich heritage and our recent investment in a range of superb modern facilities make today’s Park one of the finest in the Midlands. The old saying, "From little acorns, mighty oak trees doth grow” has never been more true.
