The Park and its local environment are home to some rare and interesting species!

A recent Wyre Forest study group found in our locality an ancient lime, a violet helleborine and many species of insects, including a wealth of moths. As for birds, there was evidence of tawny owls, great spotted and green woodpeckers and buzzards. Hares, Fallow Deer and Muntjacs were some of the rarer mammals that were found.
