We’re Planting 1500+ Trees!
21 January 2020
We are delighted to announce that towards the middle/end of February, we will be planting over 1,500 trees of all local varieties – here at Little Lakes Holiday Park! We have been chosen by the Woodland Trust as a special place for more trees to be planted – in order to help the beautiful, local wildlife, and to do our bit to help reduce climate change.
Our new trees will be planted throughout the holiday park and popular golf course, for all to watch grow and enjoy and time goes by. This is following on from our environmental surveys which we completed and passed last year. You can read more about our WFLP Wildlife Report here.
Here at Little Lakes, our manifesto is to commit to preserving the beautiful, unique features our members can enjoy. We love to ensure we are as green as possible! Which includes our installation of an environmentally friendly Reed Bed as part of our waste management system, and our continuing plans for energy and resource use. You can find out more about our Green Manifesto here.
If anyone would like to help the team plant our new trees, get in touch with us to find out how you can volunteer here.
Throughout the years, Professor David Bellamy has recognised Little Lakes Holiday Park for our work to protect and enhance Britain’s natural environment with his Gold Conservation Award, which is the highest standard. We are extremely saddened to hear of his passing and send his family and friends our love and support.
